Job summary
Applications are invited for a locum consultant post in Neurorehabilitation or Rehabilitation Medicine at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUHFT). The OUHFT comprises four hospitals: John Radcliffe, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Churchill Hospital and the Horton General Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post is primarily based at the Oxford Centre for Enablement (OCE), which is located at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre campus in Headington, close to the John Radcliffe and Churchill Hospitals. OCE is a specialist rehabilitation centre with an international reputation for excellence. It has an active research partnership with both Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University. There are 18 NHS England Specialist Commissioned Level 1 inpatient beds, a dynamic outpatient multidisciplinary rehabilitation service, a spasticity service, prosthetics service, specialist seating and disability equipment services.
Consultants in post at present are Dr Anton Pick (Clinical Lead), Dr David Henderson Slater, Dr Sophie Frey, Dr Susannah Brain, and Dr Siobhan Barrie.
It is expected that the successful applicants will be responsible for the care of up to 10 inpatients.
