Job summary

We have the opportunity for a deputy sister/charge nurse post on Ward F (NOC)-maternity cover/secondment. This is an 18-month secondment cover for maternity leave.

We are a 24 bedded ward caring for Orthopaedics and Sarcoma patients. It can be both a fast paced environment with a variety of learning opportunities. You will be working alongside a supportive nursing team and MDT members

Main duties of the job

You will be nurse in charge on shift, accountable for ensuring high standards of care are maintained on the ward with your team. You will have a team of band 5 nurses and band 2/3 nursing assistants who you will line manage (with support from the Ward Sister).
