Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has a vacancy for a full time Finance Team Leader for the Private Patient Services based at the Unipart Building at Cowley. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking to develop your finance career within the private patient field and within an NHS organisation.

The Private Patient Finance team are based at Unipart House in Cowley. There is a work pattern of 3 days per week in the office, working base at Unipart and other trust sites, then an option to work 2 days from home.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead and manage the team responsible for the invoicing of private patient activity, private patient debt and cash collection. The post holder will manage the team of Private Patient Finance Officers to achieve given standards of accurate and complete invoicing, cash collection and enabling the effective management of insurer contracts. Depending on the priorities, the balance between these activities will be flexible. Elements of this process will include accurately establishing private patient activity, recording and interpretation of clinical data in conjunction with the divisions and private patient co-ordinator team as well as management of the prothesis and consumables lists and updates with the suppliers. The post holder will be highly motivated, knowledgeable about the private practice business, have an excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently.
