Job summary

At University Hospitals of Derby & Burton we are looking for dynamic, motivated Registered Nurse to work within our custom built department at Queens Hospital Burton as part of our team providing high quality care to our patients. We have an exciting opportunity for a position for an enthusiastic and hardworking Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to work within the Emergency Department.

We consider the Department to be an innovative creative and friendly environment for those nurses who wish to provide high quality patient centred care.

This post covers both days and nights.

Main duties of the job

  • Managing the department
  • Offering clinical leadership
  • Ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
  • Responding to incidents
  • Ensuring smooth patient flow
  • Communicating with all members of the MDT
  • Providing mentorship and guidance
