Applications are invited for a fixed-term (12 months) Locally Employed Senior Clinical Fellowship in the Benign Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery at Royal Derby Hospitalstarting in August 2026
This post is a one-year fellowship designed to provide intensive training in advanced HPB surgery including laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
Applicants should be post CCT or equivalent or be within 12 months of completion of CTT.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
All applicants must have Full GMC Registration with License to Practice at the time of submitting your application.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a varied and busy department that will provide opportunity for training and development.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to obtain a good volume of training in HPB surgery as well as supporting the team acrossall areas of elective activity including day case, outpatients, endoscopy and ward rounds. They will be a senior member of team, providing leadership and support to the junior doctors.
They will be expected to be involved in teaching and training of undergraduates and post graduates.
There is opportunity to participate in the middle grade on call general surgical rota (1:17) - 50% slot.
