Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic doctor to join our trust.

We are looking for a fixed term full time doctor to work within our Medicine Department mainly in Gastro/Diabetes/DME.

This is offered on a rotational 4 month post working normal working days.

This postwill optimise your clinical experience and enable you to gain relevant clinical competencies.

The post is based at Queens Hospital, Burton.

Please note this is not a training post.

You will be supervised by senior colleagues, and you will have the opportunity to attend teaching sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills, access to an electronic portfolio and the opportunity to participate in Quality Improvement Projects.

Main duties of the job

University Hospitals of Derby & Burton NHS FoundationTrust provides health care services to the residents of Burton upon Trent and surrounding areas including South Staffordshire, South Derbyshire and North West Leicestershire.

The Trust serves a population of approximately 360,000 people and is committed to delivering high quality patient care. The Trust also runs two Community Hospitals, Samuel Johnson at Lichfield and Sir Robert Peel at Tamworth and the Treatment Centre, based on the Queen's Hospital's Burton site, providing day case and ophthalmology services.
