An opportunity for a Band 4 Registered Nursing Associate to become a part of the discharge rehabilitation team on Anna Seward ward at Samuel Johnson

Anna Ward supports the wider hospital with discharging patients from the acute environment. We will give the successful candidate the opportunity to gain experience and knowledge of discharge and discharging patients in a safe and timely manner. Your role will consist of looking after a group of patients, and ensuring that they are cared for in a safe environment, you will be working closely with members of the MDT.

Main duties of the job

University Hospitals of Derby & Burton are pleased to offer an opportunity for a Qualified Nursing Associate within the Discharge Business Unit. On Anna Ward we are dedicated to delivering high quality patient centred care and aims to provide a timely service to our users.

We welcome applications from Nursing Associates with a keen interest in developing skills, knowledge and providing patient care from admission to discharge from the unit.

You will work closely as a team and communicate effectively with our patients, their significant others and colleagues and members of the MDT. You will be responsible for caring for patients and involved in their admission to unit and supporting up until discharge.Completing relevant clinical tasks to support the patient such as dressings, referrals to the DN service, identifying and acting in a timely manner patients who become unwell. Due to the nature of the role you will develop a wide range of knowledge and skills.

You must be committed to delivering high quality patient care and be able to work flexibly. The ability the prioritise your workload is paramount and you must be able to support the smooth running of the unit.
