General Manager - Imaging Business Unit

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to lead one of the largest Imaging departments in the NHS.

As General Manager, you will lead the operational and clinical team in the management of the BU. You will develop strategic plans and performance management frameworks to ensure delivery of all key activities and financial targets, whilst fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the General Manager and Lead Radiographer - Imaging Business Unit include developing and implementing performance management systems, preparing for inspections, and ensuring effective resource utilisation.

You would be responsible for establishing strategic direction, leading service improvement, and developing operational opportunities. Financial responsibilities include managing budgets, maximizing income opportunities, and ensuring efficient asset utilisation.

The role also involves providing leadership, developing workforce plans, and promoting equality and inclusion. Ensuring high-quality services, managing complaints, and participating in incident investigations are key aspects of clinical quality and patient safety. Additionally, they lead service development, support organisational change, monitor performance, and implement safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
