Project Manager for Perinatal Pelvic Health Service

Job summary

This exciting new project manager role has been created to support the implementation of the new Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (PPHS) within the UHDB maternity services. This new service is a nationally driven requirement which aims to improve the health and well-being of our pregnant women and birthing people who are at risk of developing or are living with pelvic health issues associated with childbirth.

This role will provide expert project management and improvement knowledge and techniques to support the implementation of this service. As the PPHS will be run by a multi-disciplinary team consisting of midwifery, physiotherapy, obstetric and gynaecology staff, the role will involve working across the divisions to ensure effective and timely implementation.

This is a fixed term role / secondment offered for a 12 month period.

Main duties of the job

Do you have :

  • a project management qualification, e.g. PRINCE2 or equivalent practical experience of project management
  • experience and significant knowledge of robust project management methodologies
  • practical experience of supporting large programmes of change using project management tools, ideally within a people services, strategy or improvement setting
  • experience of writing project / programme update reports
  • experience and ability to track expenditure against plans and produce reports for various meetings and committee

It would be great (but not essential) if you also have a service improvement qualification, or experience / training in improvement methodologies.
