Fertility Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nurse Specialist to join our Fertility team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our small friendly team for a very busy and complex speciality within our gynae services. We are looking for someone who can support the continued development of this service and integrate into the team to continue to deliver our fantastic services offered within Fertility and across Gynae.

We are looking to recruit an individual that is currently practising as a nurse specialist ideally in Gynaecology or Fertility speciality. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about women's health. The right candidate will be eager to support change, willing to adopt new ways of working and share ideas.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be an experienced nurse practitioner and will be responsible for the management of a defined caseload (patients/service-users) and will provide specialist nursing support, advice, education and/or care to that specific group. They will carry the responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care, including setting of standards of care, and support in establishing evidence-based practice within Fertility. The main goal of this role is to support patients and their significant others going through investigations and treatments for fertility.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist will take a role in ensuring compliance with HEFA standards.

As well as this, you will have some responsibilities for the line management of a small but friendly team within the fertility unit so will be expected to possess managerial skills.
