Job summary
Clinical Measurements are in need of hardworking, passionate support workers to help improve efficiency in the department and support both patients and staff to ensure the smooth running of clinics.
The Clinical Measurement Department is a large multidiscipline area covering Respiratory, Neurophysiology, Gastric, Vascular and Cardiology diagnostic testing and treatments at the Royal Derby Hospital.
This role involves working as a team to provide support to both patients and staff during diagnostic investigations.The job will be varied rotating through each area every week.
Main duties of the job
This is a supportive role enabling the smooth running of clinics and looking after patient welfare.
This will involve preparing rooms and equipment in advance of testing.Supporting patients with their care needs during their appointment i.e. helping them to dress and undress, toileting, manual handling.
Cleaning the equipment and room after use.Preparing technical equipment such as sleep studies prior to collection.
There will also be an element of clerical work built into the role involving checking the answerphone and returning calls, posting of equipment and stock management.
There are two roles available - one full time at 37.5 hours per week and one part time role at 30 hours per week.Saturday/Sunday rotation working 1:4 is an essential part of each role.
The role is based at Royal Derby Hospital however you may be required to work at Florence Nightingale in the community diagnostic centre on occasion and so ability to travel between sites is essential.
