Job summary
Ward 216 is looking for a forward thinking, visible leader to join the team as a Charge Nurse/ Sister. We are looking for an individual that is enthusiastic to drive change and improvement on an acute ward. You will be expected to ensure that professionalism and high standards of care are upheld at all times.
Ward 216 is a specialist ward focusing on Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Medicine. Our multidisciplinary approach includes close collaboration with the Diabetic Foot Clinic, which is located within the unit. We receive direct admissions on to the ward from the Diabetic foot clinic. We also work closely with the Diabetes and Endocrine specialist nurses which are also located within the department.Applicants must hold a current NMC registration, and must be able to demonstrate post registration experience. This will be a great opportunity for a band 5 looking for career progression and a chance to develop their leadership skills. The successful applicant needs to be able to work a range of shifts including days and nights.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a compassionate individual that can demonstrate excellent communication skills and is committed to driving change forward.
Applicants will need to be a visible, reliable, and flexible leader ensuring high standards of care are given at all times.
The successful candidate will be able to deputise for the Senior Sister in their absence. They will be able to build professional working relationships and provide supportive management to the team.
