Rotational Senior Occupational Therapist - Neurological Rehabilitation

Job summary

There is an opportunity for a full time Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Band 6 Neuro Rotation. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and hardworking to join our friendly teams and would welcome interest from full and part time applicants.

The yearly rotations are based across Royal Derby Hospital and Florence Nightingale Community Hospital. The rotations include Kings Lodge Neuro Rehab Unit, Stroke Unit, Neuro Outpatient Service, Neuro In-Reach Team and Acute Neurology.

You will require experience and skills in the assessment and treatment of patients with neurological conditions. You will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of Occupational Therapy within these teams, as well as having opportunities to support operational management and leadership of the services you are working within.

Main duties of the job

We offer a multidisciplinary induction followed by regular supervision and appraisal. There are internal and external training opportunities to support your ongoing learning and professional development, which includes a Band 6 Neuro rotation peer support and education group.

You will need to have experience as an occupational therapist within neurological rehabilitation and be able to demonstrate good communication skills. You must have highly developed interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing excellent patient centred care and multidisciplinary working is essential.
