Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Band 7 Advanced Clinical Physiologist to join our friendly neurophysiology team.
The department has a well established neurophysiology service comprising of 8 clinical physiologists and a team assistant, with support from 3 consultant neurophysiologists, who work together to provide a quality service to both inpatients and outpatients.
Main duties of the job
The department provides routine Nerve Conduction Studies, a wide range of EEG testing including standard, sleep deprived, ambulatory and video telemetry (home and in-patient) testing. We see patients of all ages and half of our EEG work is paediatric. We perform a wide range of electrodiagnostic testing including VER & ERG and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests.
Your role would involve the day to day management of the neurophysiology service to ensure the smooth running of clinics and include service development.
Perform and interpret a range of advanced neurophysiologist tests including EEG and nerve conduction studies. Oversee others reports and audit results for quality control.
Training of apprentice physiologists as required.
Cross site working is an essential part of this role covering inpatient work across UHDB sites primarily Royal Derby Hospital and Queens Hospital Burton.
