Qualified Dental Nurse

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dental Nurses to join our Team in the Head and Neck Outpatients department at the Royal Derby Hospital to cover Maternity leave. We are looking for flexible motivated Dental Nurses to join our busy Maxillofacial and Orthodontic Team. This will be based at the Royal Derby Hospital site but cross site working maybe expected at times.

This post is available to Dental Nurses who is registered with the General Dental Council. Orthodontic experience is highly desirable but not essential as training will be given. This post will allow you to gain experience which will help with any future permanent positions that become available.

You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills, be committed to delivering a high quality of care and be able to work as part of a team. The ability to prioritise your workload and liaise confidentially with staff from all disciplines is essential.

Main duties of the job

• Working with the departments Multi disciplinary team
• Working along side orthodontic Consultants, Registrars and Orthodontic therapists during consultations and treatments
• Assisting in Minor operations sessions
• Assisting in clinic sessions including Maxillofacial, Oncology Restorative, Cleft lip and palate and orthognathic and ENT clinics.
