Job summary

Applications are invited for the position of Data Corrections Officer at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust

The post holder will work within the Data Corrections Team which is part of the Trust's Business Intelligence Department.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive service in data correction across various systems, as well as investigation of patient demographic and health activity data to resolve duplicate and confused records.

Main duties of the job

To investigate and undertake data quality checks on electronic records to ensure the integrity of the data held on all systems. To update the information held on the EPR to ensure that the system accurately reflects patient details and episodes of care.

To identify and liaise with Records Management the outcome of investigations to ensure documentation held within the casenote folders is correct.

In addition to this the Data Corrections Officer is responsible for verifying and resolving duplicate registrations, confused records and any Patient Identity issues raised.

The Data Corrections Officer is also required to investigate and interpret the information from a variety of systems - Lorenzo, Exeter, Summary Care Record, Lorenzo ED and Pathology, liaising with GP Practices and the wider community as well as electronically raising monitoring and managing calls with the National Back Office.

  • Broad knowledge of patient Identity issues
