Job summary
Ward 5 is a 38 bedded short stay unit, we care for acutely unwell patients from a variety of different specialities. We are looking for a dynamic, professional and personable health care assistance to join our team.
Main duties of the job
You will work with a fantastic dynamic team made up of multi disciplines . The work can be fast paced and we will teach you what you need to know. You must be an honest and compassionate person and a quick learner willing to learn new skills which in turn will contribute towards your own personal development. Your communication skills must be of a good level.
You will be required to work with the Nursing Team and provide personal care for the patient. You will be trained to take vital observation recordings and escalate findings as required including completing paperwork for the patient. You will be expected to monitor the patient within your scope of practice and escalate any concerns. You will look after patients of all sexual orientation.
The successful candidate will ensure that patients are well hydrated and nourished and often be required to provide assistance with this. You may need to be an advocate for your patient or a sympathetic ear to a relative. You will also be expected to attend regular mandatory training to enhance your knowledge and keep your practice safe.
