Due to recent promotion in Pharmacy Logistics an exciting opportunity has arisen to enter the world of Pharmacy Distribution and it's many career options.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the pharmacy distribution services provided from the Royal Derby Hospital (RDH) Pharmacy Stores department.
Responsible for ensuring a professional, courteous, safe and effective service is provided to patients and service users in accordance with Good Distribution Practice, Wholesale Dealer requirements, Medicine legislation and local policies and procedures.Named departmental lead for Waste
To assist the Procurement and Distribution Services Manager and Principal Pharmacy Technician in the strategic and operational development of the distribution services.
Main duties of the job
- Ward based supplies of stock medication
- Ward Stocklist maintenance
- In house overlabel preparation
- Receipt of all medication into pharmacy stores at RDH
- Safe and Secure ward audits of wards stocked from RDH
- Medication returns and recycling
- Emergency drug boxes
- Portering / deliveries
- PTS System oversight
