We deliver high quality internal audit, assurance, and consultancy work to many organisations. This is an excellent opportunity to join our experienced and successful team supporting improvement across NHS. We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Internal Audit Assistant Client Manager with experience in audit, compliance, assurance or finance. The post holder will support the delivery of internal audit services, bringing innovation to support our clients with the increasingly challenging NHS agenda. You will contribute to the development of our services and support the management team. The post holder will support and deputise for Client Managers, attend Audit Committees, develop work programs from agreed audit plans, and will have responsibility for managing a small number of staff. Main duties of the job
As part of this role you will be required to plan and perform internal audits covering a wide range of systems in accordance with the 360 Assurance Internal Audit Manual and the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards, work undertaken will be clearly documented within our audit management software supported by appropriate evidence. You will be expected to deliver complex audits, with minimal supervision, undertaking your own research and planning to ensure audit reviews satisfy the required objectives and meet client expectations. You will understand the wider context of the work being conducted and how this relates to the annual Head of Internal Audit Opinion and for client Audit Committees. You will be required to deliver value added work, to a high quality and to perform reliable and accurate work to maintain the organisation's reputation and standing. As part of the role you will liaise with Executives and senior managers from NHS organisations, as well as present information and reports to senior committees so excellent communication skills and confidence presenting are essential. The role will require administrative support to senior staff in the management of their client portfolios which includes the production of Audit Committee progress reports and monitoring of implementation of internal audit actions. This role will require supervision and line management of audit staff.
