Due to colleague development we are looking for a motivated Therapy Assistant with a passion for acute care who wishes to enhance their skills to a Band 4 level. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing high quality care.
The Medicine team at Queens Hospital Burton is pleased to offer an exciting position for a flexible and driven individual to work within Physiotherapy.
Main duties of the job
The team is looking for a motivated, organised Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to support patient care in an in-patient environment. They must show the ability to be flexible within their working day and show initiative with their caseload, being mindful of the wider teams needs and workload.
Proven team skills are essential for this role as is the ability to work independently. A desire to help people in their hospital journey and recovery is essential whilst ensuring that patients are motivated and safely discharged to their previous place of residence is a key part of this role.
Basic IT skills are desirable for administration duties. Recent experience of working in an inpatient care setting and the moving and handling of adults is essential. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required along with the ability to motivate and encourage patients with physical needs.
