Job summary
We require experienced Midwives to work with our elective caesarean section team. Our ELLSCS is predominately week days with some Saturday morning cases.
We are looking for an experienced midwife to join this team and be able to work in a flexible manner within the acute setting to meet service needs.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate midwife to join our team and provide specialised care to women/birthing people undergoing elective caesarean sections.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in obstetrics and midwifery, with a focus on supporting women/birthing people throughout the entire birthing process.
Main duties of the job
As a midwife for elective caesarean cases, you will play a crucial role in advocating for women/birthing people, providing emotional support, and ensuring the safety and well-being of both the mother/birthing person and newborn during the surgical birth experience.
The role will incorporate working collaboratively with the theatre and recovery nurses to maintain safety within the theatre and recovery environment and support with neonatal care.
The job will entail preparing women/birthing people for theatre, accompanying and supporting them.
