An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse's to join our team.

You willbe joining us at a time of unprecedented change, as we look to revolutionise our Outpatient services. We are currently engaged in an ambitious transformation programme, which includes; implementing virtual clinics, patient initiated follow up's and patient portal. This will help us to become more efficient and agile in our response to change and for us to get things right first time for our patients.

The Outpatients Department at Sir Robert Peel , is a general outpatients including a Colposcopy Suite. We are a busy department that accommodates many specialities and can provide you with the opportunity to learn some new clinical and management skills and develop your career.

The Sister/Charge Nurse takes responsibility and is accountable to delegate nursing care within the clinical environment. They provide nursing leadership and are accountable for patient, public and staff experience. They will lead, offer clinical advice and support management of services to ensure the delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate nursing care.

Main duties of the job

You will assist the Senior Sister, by delivering effective nursing care; manage the department on a day to day basis in her absence, ensuring you work in accordance with Trust Policy and Procedures. Able to lead and support a team of Nurses to work across a wide area of multi-specialty clinics including; ENT, Colposcopy, Colorectal, Trauma and Orthopaedic, Gynaecology and Ophthalmology .

You must be eager and committed to embrace new challenges and development opportunities. In return, we offer a programme of leadership training to support you in this demanding role and to develop your skills as a Senior Nurse in the NHS.
