Senior Operational Manager LRP Prevention / Reduction

Job summary

Takes overall responsibility and is accountable for all delegated professional, practice development & education activity for least restrictive practice and prevention / reduction. Will be highly visible and provide professional leadership . Lead, offer expert professional and practice development advice to support the delivery of high quality, effective, and compassionate training, and care. This will be in line with local, Trust wide and national policies, procedures, values, and behaviours.

Main duties of the job

  • Develop training, manage training team and schedules designed to ensure Trust reaches compliance with Use of Force Act 2022.
  • Working with Health and well-being team and Health and Safety colleagues, ensure all incidents of restraint are responded to, debrief is undertaken of patients / families, as well as staff.
  • Ensure all incidents of restraint are reviewed and assessed as lawful and following good practice.
  • Maintaining affective database and reporting mechanisms through the governance structure on incidents of restraint and training compliance.
