Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive Plain Film Radiographer with good organisational skills to join our Diagnostic Imaging Team at University Hospital of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB).

Located right in the center of the UK we are ideally placed within easy driving distance of Birmingham, Nottingham and Leicester with good public transport routes. We are also very close to the Peak District.

We are seeking a Radiographer to be based at our Florence Nightingale Community Hospital - which is currently undergoing a significant expansion of imaging services as part of the UHDB Community Diagnostic Centres.

Main duties of the job

You must be suitably qualified as an HCPC State Registered Diagnostic Radiographer with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent. You will be able to display excellent interpersonal skills with a caring patient centred and flexible approach to work. The work will be based at FNCH and will assist in covering our 7 day service at this site.

We have DR equipment which has recently been replaced and we are also installing a new dedicated Chest X-Ray room.

As a progressive teaching department for Radiographers we have established links with universities and actively encourage CPD and role extension, with support available to pursue academic courses and develop your career within a supportive and friendly environment.

We are a QSI accredited department.

They may be requirement for you to move between our UHDB sites, dependant on service need.
