Main duties of the job

Key aspects of the role include:

  • The post holder is responsible for the management of a team of Human Resources professionals totalling approximately 8 whole time equivalent.

  • The post holder will communicate highly complex information including explaining complex matters of employment law and its implications to managers and staff at all levels of the organisation.

  • The post holder will devise the strategy for the Employee Relations to improve outcomes and learning across the Trust, including leading the Employee Relations Team to ensure that they areappropriately developed both individually and collectively to provide a high-quality service.

  • The post holder will develop and implement mechanisms to maintain consistency of interpretation and practice of, employment legislation, policies and procedures, best practice principles and national terms and conditions of service

  • Lead the Employee Relations Team ensuring that the team is appropriately developed both individually and collectively to provide a high-quality employee relations service.
  • Develop and implement mechanisms to maintain consistency of interpretation and practice of, employment legislation, policies and procedures, best practice principles and national terms and conditions of service.
  • Work collaboratively with Trade Union colleagues and local partners to embed partnership working in employee relations practice.
  • Support the Trusts Inclusion agenda, embedding Inclusion into the employee relations Policy, Process and Team.
