Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Echocardiographer to join our Advanced Clinical Physiologist team at our new Community Diagnostic Centre at Sir Robert Peel Hospital, Tamworth.

This is a unique andexciting opportunity to work in a newly renovated, purpose designed diagnostic centre as part of a multi disciplinary diagnostic team.

BSE Accreditation is essential, as well as up to date practical skills to deliver high quality echocardiograms in a community setting. There is no on call commitment linked to this position.

Main duties of the job

The post will be primarily based at Sir Robert Peel Hospital Tamworth, however occasional rotation to Queens Hospital Burton will be required for training and meetings as necessary.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident candidate who is equally happy to work independently with remote support or as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

You will be expected to demonstrate your experience and competency in patient testing and interpretation within the field of echocardiography.

Applicants should hold or be working towards their British Society of Echocardiography accreditation for adult echocardiography.

This is a Full-time post, however part time hours would be considered.

The core hours of department are 8am - 6pm

  • Degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification and experience
  • Significant post graduate experience as Senior Clinical Physiologist
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in performing a broad range of cardiac investigation
