Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Digital Services at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton to for a Digital Services Administrator.

The successful candidate will provide a professional and comprehensive administrative support service to the Digital Services teams across all UHDB sites, based at Queens Hospital Burton.

You will provide a first point of contact for all enquiries including the first line support for NHS Spine Portal Smartcards and general administrative support for key clinical and corporate systems used within the organisation.

You will be experienced in diary management, scheduling of meetings and note taking at meetings.

You will also assist the Digital Services Education and Training team with scheduling and arranging IT training sessions for staff.

This position will also assist in the administration and ordering of IT equipment and software licences.

Main duties of the job

Provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Digital Services Department by undertaking of routine clerical duties such as answering the telephone, typing and filing, distributing and dispatching of mail, photocopying, scanning, and responding to emails.

Support the Registration Authority smartcard process within the Trust, including resetting of accounts, changing passwords and printing new smartcards.

To provide a full administrative service of all relevant meetings, including sending out invitations, attendance and note taking together with the distribution of reports, consistent with Trust procedures and quality standards.

To support the Digital Services Department with appropriate administrative tasks, organise and book travel, accommodation and attendance at conferences, seminars, etc, as necessary.

To support the Digital Services procurement process, place orders on Agresso and Meditech for all IT equipment and ensure all goods received are booked in and stored in the appropriate area.

Using My Learning Passport to book staff onto training courses and produce attendance reports.

Supporting the IT Training Team with administering the Digital Champion Programme.
