An exciting opportunity has arisen in the paediatric business unit for a permanent, full time development role from Band 7 to 8a (or entry at Band 8a with considerable, relevant experience) *See Dimensions for expectation outline.
Main duties of the job
o You will provide specialist training across acute and community settings.o You will ensure the delivery of agreed professional standards of care within Allergy and Respiratory across the Trust and out in the community.o You will work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the assessment, primary and/or secondary diagnosis, management and evaluation of treatment and care for a caseload of children & young people aged 0-18 years with Allergy and Respiratory conditions.o You will co-ordinate and implement evidence-based care for your caseload of patients and lead Nurse-led clinics as part of an overarching treatment plan with the Multidisciplinary Team.o You will use expert clinical knowledge to ensure the multidisciplinary team deliver a safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led service where compassion is embedded and a positive patient experience is achieved.o You will provide strong clinical leadership and act as a professional role model.o You will work across organisational and professional boundaries, including working collaboratively with health care professionals in the community.o You will act as an expert resource in Paediatric Allergy and Respiratory with extensive specialist knowledge and clinical expertise to be an effective educator for health care professionals.
