Job summary

To assist breast nurse specialists and other health care professionals in the provision of individualised patient care within the breast unit by carrying out assigned tasks to the highest possible standards with the direction of a Health care professional.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide advice to patients regarding bra and prosthetic services available.
  • Fit and supply prosthesis to patients following surgery or due to other breast concerns.
  • Maintain stock and orders to ensure availability in clinics
  • Organise and book appointments for patients to access the service.
  • Support the prosthetic fitting service over all UHDB sites
  • Work closely with other members of the wider multi disciplinary team
