Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a flexible and motivated individual to join the Hospital out of Hours Team as a Night Support Worker.

You will work under the indirect supervision of the Advanced Clinical Practitioners/Night Nurse Practitioners taking forward the essence of care philosophy, delivering a high standard of care in a safe environment which meets the patients' needs whilst maintaining privacy and dignity.

You will be expected to be available for work between the hours of 7pm and 8 am 7 days a week.

Main duties of the job

  • Assist in the implementation of care according to patients individual needs as directed by the ACPs and NNPs.
  • Undertake a range of delegated, extended clinical tasks in support of the ACPs and NNPs.
  • Undertake a range of administrative tasks in support of the Night Co-ordinator
  • Communicate effectively by giving, receiving and interpreting information so that appropriate action can be taken
  • Contribute effectively as a member of the multi - professional team, building appropriate relationships
  • Contribute to effective working in a changing environment as services develop
