Job summary

Systems Accountant - An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance Systems team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB).

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and self-motivated individual to join the existing team on a permanent basis, providing a high quality Finance Systems support service to the Trust

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the implementation, management, security, development, and performance of the Trusts key financial systems Unit 4 and any related systems.

The post holder will work closely with all Finance Departments, Business Information, Contracts and Procurement to ensure that high quality financial and procurement services and information are underpinned by fully integrated, effective systems which make full use of available technologies.

The post holder will work with colleagues in Finance and Procurement and across the wider Trust to ensure that financial systems facilitate the achievement of the Trust's operational and strategic goals. He/she will work closely with other corporate functions to develop and maintain an integrated business support service to business partners in the Trust.

The post holder will also provide similar services to partner organisations within the Derbyshire area, to support the direction of travel to transparent and collaborative Integrated Care System working.
