Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and forward thinking Occupational Therapy team who are passionate about the evolving role of the Occupational Therapist in the Frail Elderly acute hospital setting. The post is suitable for both those candidates with a range of Band 5 Experience looking to develop into a Senior position or those who are looking to consolidate their skills in this specialist area. A passion for improving the care of the Frail Elderly pathway is essential.
You will be required to contribute to a 7 day extended hour service.
Main duties of the job
A static post providing highly skilled assessment, treatment and interventions for patients with a range of complex and or chronic conditions. The post holder will also provide advanced FrailtyspecialistOccupational Therapy assessment and treatment and providing specialist advice and support to both patients and other professionals throughout the Trust.
The Occupational Therapist will provide specialist skills which enable patients to explore, achieve and maximise independence and maintain quality of life in their activities of daily living, areas of personal care, domestic, leisure and productive activities.
You will be part of a seven day service to provide Occupational Therapy services to our patients.
The Occupational Therapist will hold a full clean driving licence.
