Job summary
An exciting opportunity exists to join the Finance team of Derby Private Health. You will play a key role as part of the team responsible for all financial aspects of private healthcare within the Trust.
- To support the Finance Manager and Head of Private Patient Services in all financial aspects of Private Healthcare.
- To maintain a highly accurate and timely billing service to meet expectations of the Trust, Consultants, health insurance companies and patients. Resolving any queries or issues with documentation of billing requests or raising invoices.
- To follow and maintain procedure notes for the billing, production of accurate monthly financial information, accruals and other key departmental outputs, under the guidance of the Finance Manager.
- Verification of invoices prior to submission to ensure accuracy of charges.
- Responsible for the timely EDI submission of invoices to insurance companies and resolution of any issues that may cause delays in the process.
- Liaise with insurance companies and patients to resolve any issues with unpaid and part-paid accounts.
- To assist Admin staff with costing and provision of quotations to non-insured private patients.
- Any other duties as required by the Finance Manager and Head of Private Patient Services to support the finance function within the Business Unit.

The job role is wide and varied and hence you must be able to manage competing demands for your time. Flexibility and adaptability are key to this role, as is a desire to learn and develop.
The post holder will play a key role in the Finance team responsible for all financial aspects of private healthcare throughout all locations within the Trust. The post will primarily support the Finance Manager and Head of Private Patient Services.
The Assistant Finance Manager will provide dedicated support and will be expected to work closely with the wider Private Healthcare team on a regular basis.
