Job summary
This is an important role within both the Trust's Financial Services Team and the Trusts wider Finance Directorate. It includes line management of Treasury Accounting, AR and Cashier Staff. Additionally it involves working with other Trust departments (such as Payroll) , external "Financial Services" customers, the Trusts Bankers, Staff and occasionally patients.
The role will be based at the Royal Derby Hospital but there is scope for some home working and working also from Queens Hospital Burton where some staff are based.
Line Management of Treasury Services including Cash Management, VAT, Accounts Receivable and Cashsiers
Maintenance of Cashbook
VAT Return
Line Manager for Accounts Receivable and Cashiers
Balance Sheet Controls
Liaison with Trusts Bankers
Urgent Payment
Assist in Annual Accounts and Financial Reporting
Main duties of the job
Full detailed Job Description attached however main roles include:
Cash Management including maintenance of Cashbook and liaison with banks,
Management of Treasury Staff, Cashiers and Accounts Receivable
Completion of VAT returns
Management of Agreement of Balances "AOB" exercises for statutory accounts
Balance Sheet (Current Asset/Liability) Control and Reconciliations
Urgent Payments
