Job summary
Band 5 or 6 Audiologist required (employed grade will depend on skills and experience). Internal secondment may be possible and students in their final year at University due to graduate in 2023 are also encouraged to apply.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Audiologist to join our dynamic and forward thinking Audiology Team on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The Adult Audiology Service is based at the Royal Derby Hospital but also delivers activity at various community locations across Southern Derbyshire. We provide a range of routine and specialist services, including general ENT clinics, specialist otology/tinnitus/balance assessments, hearing rehabilitation, tinnitus/balance management and therapy, and specialist audio-vestibular diagnostic investigations.
There will be a requirement to deliver some clinical activity at a range of community locations and therefore a need to have access to a car.
We are a complex only service and therefore provide more opportunities to expand your knowledge and work with a more varied cohort of patients.
As a minimum, you will be expected to be an Audiologist with a BSc (Hons)/MSc in Audiology or equivalent.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will join our Team of Audiologists to provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative service which will include working with patients with more complex audio-vestibular issues. The department also works closely with and provides support for ENT clinics.
You will be expected to work across a number of sites, so a willingness to travel/access to a motor vehicle is essential
Closing date of applications: 12 July 2023
Interview date: 27 July 2023
