Nurse Clinical Lead - Haematology

Job summary

Due to new investment, we are delighted to be able to recruit an experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to support and further develop our haematology service. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior nurse who is passionate about improving care for patients with blood disorders and committed to driving high standards across the speciality.

The Trust provides haematology services across its full footprint, and the post holder will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of patients and teams.We are seeking a highly skilled nurse with:o Significant experience within the haematology specialityo A proven track record in service development, quality improvement, and leading changeo Demonstrable leadership capability, with experience managing or guiding clinical teams

The successful candidate will provide visible, professional, clinical, and operational leadership to a small but motivated team of Clinical Nurse Specialists. Working closely with the existing team, they will ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care for haematology patients.This role is ideal for a dynamic, forward-thinking nurse leader who is committed to shaping the future of haematology nursing and delivering outstanding care for this patient group.

Main duties of the job

Provide enhanced clinical practice in Haematology specialty

Work 50% of time clinically in specialty and 50% in effective nurse leadership/service development.

Work at an enhanced level with a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making within the specialty which demonstrates core capabilities and specific clinical competences.

Take responsibility for various components of the Clinical Governance agenda including achieving standards relevant to the areas.

Liaise with clinical colleagues in the continued development and re-organisation of services emphasising a patient focused approach utilising pathways of care

Professionally responsible for the delivery of a high-quality safe service for patients and carers.

Advise and actively contribute to the achievement of national and local performance targets within the area.

Responsible for maintaining all nursing and clinical care standards in line with relevant professional, Trust and NICE guidelines.
