Job summary
This role is based at within our new catering facility on the Seaton Delaval site. You will ensure a high quality catering service is provide to our NHS colleagues based at this location.
This is a Monday to Friday role with the occasional need for hours to be altered.

Main duties of the job
You will role model high standards of Customer service and food delivery. Maintaining high standards within the kitchen environment by following all due diligence and HACCP as per our policies.
Duties include Supervision and Training the small staff team, Staffing, Rotas, Ordering of provisions, Maintaining a hygienic environment and some Basic Cooking.
In this fast paced environment, you will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be a team player.

To provide a high quality catering service for, staff.Control the organisation of the work of the department, methods used and costs involved particularly in the allocation of work, duty rotas, holiday, discipline, training and welfare of staff.To maintain a high standard service and quality of food and beverages, including standards of hygiene, HACCP, COSHH and adherence to all Trust policies.Responsible for simple preparation, cooking and dispatch of all types of meals, whether fresh, frozen or chilledTo act as working supervisor assisting with all catering duties and to assist in the co-ordination of the Catering Services to the Catering Manager.Checking and accounting for cash and vouchers, keeping of records and the continuous update of the Function Diary.Oversee the replenishing and maintenance of automatic vending machines. Must have a sound knowledge of stock control procedures.Assist in the recruitment and selection process in association with the Hotel Services Officer.To be flexible in working arrangements and undertake any other duties as may be required.
