Job summary

To ensure the efficient running of the Wheelchairs warehouse facility and of the van deliveries and collections of the equipment to help meet current KPI's. In particular, to manage the available manpower to meet the various demands placed on the warehouse and vans to ensure that service targets are regularly met and to manage relations between warehouse, admin and clinical staff within the service.

Job responsibilities

Regularly meet delivery service targets for emergency and standard equipment deliveries.

Maintaining stock accuracy and updating the computer of equipment transactions in a timely manner and ensure adequate stock levels.

Forward plan on a six-to-eight week rolling basis the duties for each member of the warehouse staff covering van deliveries and collections, two-man van, cleaning, equipment maintenance, ordering and general warehouse duties.

First line management of warehouse staff for work allocation, work problems and issues, and staff grievances.

Maintaining optimum efficiency of staff to meet all the demands placed on the warehouse staff and vans including re-assignment of staff work loads due to sickness, training, holidays and when an emergency arises.

Manage the maintenance and servicing of the delivery/collection vans, and other machinery and equipment used within the warehouse.

Liaising with other leads within the service to ensure smooth running of the warehouse.
