Job summary
We are pleased to recruit a band 5 occupational therapist to join our well established team across Hexham General Hospital and Haltwhistle War Memorial Hospital. As part of a multidisciplinary team we support patient flow by providing comprehensive yet timely occupational therapy interventions, and often using a discharge to assess model will support patients from hospital to home liaising with community colleagues. You will provide occupational therapy to a patients with a wide variety of clinical diagnoses including orthopaedic conditions, stroke, elderly and general medicine. A full induction and regular supervision will be provided. Applicants who are newly qualified are welcomed.
Current service hours at Hexham/Haltwhistle are Monday - Friday 08.30-16.30. However this could be extended in the future. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake some weekend working at other sites throughout the trust on a rota basis.
