Job summary
We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and innovative Paediatric Physiotherapy team in Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder will be based at Hexham General Hospital but will be expected to work in other areas of the trust as the needs of the service commands.
They will hold a mixed Paediatric Physiotherapy caseload of children with both Musculoskeletal problems and complex Neurodevelopmental conditions aged from 0 -19 years. They will undertake assessments and treatment of children and young people working in various settings, including hospital based clinics, patients homes, family hubs, nurseries and schools.
The post holder must have Paediatric Physiotherapy experience at either an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 level.

To provide highly specialised physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment using advanced clinical reasoning skills. To provide clinical education, supervision and support to staff and students within the speciality area. To supervise qualified & unqualified staff within the specialist team. Essential
- BSC Honours degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Member of the Health Professionals Council
- Student training qualification
- Recognised qualification and experience in the supervision of undergraduate students.
Desirable
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Working towards Masters level or equivalent accredited courses within chosen speciality e.g. Action Research, McKenzie accredited practitioner, Injection Diploma, Continence Diploma, Accredited Respiratory Care Management.
- Leadership training e.g. LEO/ILM
- Non-Medical Prescriber Qualification

- Varied experience in the assessment and management of complex conditions.
- Demonstrate an understanding of, and experience in implementing clinical governance frameworks within professional practice.
- Substantial post graduate experience previous experience
