Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Physiotherapist to work as a Principal Physiotherapist within the Orthopaedic Spinal Team and in the Advanced Practice Physiotherapy team in Northumberland. There may also be a requirement to work as First Contact Practitioner (FCP) in Northumberland as part of the role, depending on service needs.
In their role within the Orthopaedic Spinal Team, the successful candidate will work alongside the Consultant team to deliver outpatient clinics for patients who have been referred into secondary care. This will include managing a complex caseload independently with regular supervision provided by the Consultant body and attendance at the weekly MDT. This is an opportunity to develop skills and practice whilst working as part of a close-knit, supportive team.
The successful candidate will work in the CATS (Clinical Assessment and Treatment Service) where they will be expected to independently manage a complex musculoskeletal caseload.
Locations of work are likely to include a number of sites across the Trust.

Main duties of the job
- Service provision includes working as part of the Orthopaedic Spinal Team and providing expert assessment and advice within the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service. To be accountable to the Clinical Manager and clinically supervised by an appropriate consultant.
