Job summary
We are looking to appoint an experienced Band 7 Nurse Practitioner who can work autonomously within our Urgent Treatment Centre at night, supporting patients who may self present. The practitioner must have experience of working in an Urgent Treatment Centre dealing with patients autonomously as there will be no resident medical support, although support / advice can be gained from out Emergency Care Department at The Northumbria
This role will also require the practitioner to work as the Senior Nurse at night supporting the site / inpatient ward and dealing with any patients who may become unwell.
The practitioners role is to provide independent advanced clinical assessment and management of patients in the Urgent treatment Centre.

Main duties of the job
- To assume responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the implementation of evidence based programmes of care after examination, investigation and diagnoses, providing accuratetreatment.
- To supervise, support and educate junior members of nursing and medical staffTo exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
- To be responsible for all nursing care standards and to maintain high clinical standards
- To work within the Urgent treatment Centres for Northumbria Healthcare Trust
- To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promoteownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
