Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to work within pelvic health. This is a permanent post for 9 hours per week. The successful applicant will be expected to be flexible regarding work site (North Tyneside General Hospital, Hexham General Hospital and Wansbeck General Hospital). Caseload could include a combination of face to face, telephone and virtual clinics for pelvic health, obstetric and breast cancer patients. A comprehensive training package will be provided with regular clinical supervision.

Main duties of the job

Accountable to the Team Leader and ultimately Clinical Manager.
Rotations,when appropriate, are set at six or eight monthly intervals.

Member of the Health Professionals Council
Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Evidence of continued professional development through self-directed learning, in-service training record and attendance at relevant short post graduate courses
Evidence of developing neuromuscular and manual therapy skills.

Desirable

Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools
Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques and methods

Other requirements

It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role. However, the Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role
