Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to work within pelvic health. This is a permanent post for 9 hours per week. The successful applicant will be expected to be flexible regarding work site (North Tyneside General Hospital, Hexham General Hospital and Wansbeck General Hospital). Caseload could include a combination of face to face, telephone and virtual clinics for pelvic health, obstetric and breast cancer patients. A comprehensive training package will be provided with regular clinical supervision.

Main duties of the job

  • Accountable to the Team Leader and ultimately Clinical Manager.
  • Rotations,when appropriate, are set at six or eight monthly intervals.
  • To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching topromote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.

Essential

  • BSC Honours degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent experience and/or qualification
  • Member of the Health Professionals Council
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy

Experience and knowledge

Essential

  • Candidates should have completed their post graduate core rotations as a Band 5
  • Evidence of continued professional development through self-directed learning, in-service training record and attendance at relevant short post graduate courses
  • Evidence of developing neuromuscular and manual therapy skills.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools
  • Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques and methods

  • It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role.
