Moving and Handling Trainer - Trustwide - Part time or Job share.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5's Healthcare professionals to join us to assist in the provision of an expert, specialised Manual Handling service.
To undertake a supporting role to the Moving and Handling Advisory Service (MHAS) and to assist in the provision of an expert, specialised service of training, advice and support regarding moving and handling of people and objects.
Main duties of the job
The suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for moving and handling. It is essential that you are a good communicator and be physically fit enough to perform equipment demonstrations and manoeuvres on a regular basis.
As the suitable candidate will be expected to work across the whole trust, a driving license is essential.

To assist in the development of moving and handling services and delivering exemplary clinical practice in all areas of the Trust, contributing to the reduction of moving and handling incidents across the Trust and to patient and staff safety. To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organizational boundaries
It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role. However, the Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments tothe role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role
