Job summary
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious, self-motivated individual to work in our Inventory Management team. The role is based within our Receipt and Distribution stores at North Tyneside General Hospital, however the post holder will also be expected to provide cover as and when required to our Inventory Management stock replenishment service onthe Wards and Departments within the hospital site.
Your duties will include being responsible for Stores and non-stores deliveries of Medical & Non-Medical equipment & consumables for onward transfer to wards & Departments on site. Ensuring the needs of service users are met, and that guidelines and instructions for providing the service are adhered to. This also includes checking the quantity and quality of the goods, receipt of orders into the Trust Ordering System and the completion of any necessary documentation.

Main duties of the job
You should have experience of working in a Receipt and Distribution environment where you would have to receive and receipted deliveries. You should have good interpersonal skills, be customer facing with a helpful, friendly, flexible attitude and most important is attention to detail. You should be PC literate with experience of entering data into computerised systems. You should be able to use your own initiative and be able to work alone and well as part of a team. The ability to work to deadlines and communicate with staff at all levels is essential.
You should have a basic understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety.
You may be required to work at any one of our 4 main hospital sites to provide the Inventory service. A drivers license or ability to travel to those sites would be beneficial.
