Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at North Tyneside Talking Therapies as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP).

North Tyneside Talking Therapies service currently operates Monday- Friday covering some evening work.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work within the North Tyneside Talking Therapies Service providing assessment and high-volume low intensity psychological interventions; these comprise a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self-management interventions to assist clients who experience mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety and depression. These interventions will be delivered via digital, video, face to face, telephone and groups.

  • The post holder will deliver evidence-based psychological interventions in line with the Talking Therapies manual and NICE guidelines to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients

  • To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership practices within your role in order to support a collective leadership culture within the service and trust. Essential

  • Qualification from Low Intensity PWPTraining Course (Post Graduate Certificate in mental health) or equivalent PWP apprenticeship qualification)
  • Professional registration with BABCP/BPS - Post holder will be expected to complete this within 6 months of appointment.

Desirable

  • IAPT Low Intensity Supervision Qualification

Experience & Knowledge

Essential

  • Experience of working in the local community
  • Evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in Primary Care Services
  • Experience of peer supervising PWP's delivering
