Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Nurse Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Community CAMHS team.
We are seeking a skilled qualified NMP Nurse to work as part of a Specialist Multi-Disciplinary Team, providing high-quality care to children and young people (CYP) with a range of mental health difficulties and neurodevelopmental conditions (including ADHD and ASD).
This Band 7 post offers an opportunity to be part of our nurse-led prescribing model, contributing to the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred prescribing and medication management. The role will require the NMP to undertake prescribing and monitoring both SSRI's and medications for management of ADHD .

Main duties of the job
To develop clear treatment protocols and pathways for the management of children and young people with complex and persistent mental health problems i.e. ADHD, ASD and other conditions in partnership with CAMHS colleagues.
To maintain key worker responsibility for a defined case load of children and young people with persistent and complex mental health difficulties.
To lead in conjunction with medical staff on the development of nurse led clinics around the prescribing and monitoring of medication.
To be responsible for medication dose adjustment within defined protocols and parameters with supervision from medical staff.
To record and monitor patients physical observations and to take bloods for basic monitoring purposes when required.
To participate in child protection conferences and care team meetings as appropriate.
To participate in supervision systems which currently operate within CAMHS.
