Job summary

We have exciting opportunities for Registered Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners to work as part of our highly motivated, dynamic Anaesthetics team. The post holder will be expected to work Trustwide, but will be based at our purpose-built Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington

Main duties of the job

We are looking to hire keen and enthusiastic practitioners skilled and experienced in Anaesthetics to join our high performing teams delivering safe, high-quality patient care. We have a wide range of training opportunities available to support your personal development and offer speciality training in your chosen field.

The successful post holder must be able to role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Trust.

Essential Criteria:

  • 1st Level live NMC Registered General Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification
  • Evidence of ongoing practice development
  • Registered Mentor. Mentorship Qualification or relevant equivalent qualification (essential requirement for post, expectation this will be completed within an 18-month period).
  • Thorough understanding of contemporary nursing issues

Desirable Criteria:

  • Recognised post-graduate theatre qualification
  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Post Registration qualification in speciality
  • Diploma/degree in nursing/or health-related topic

The successful post holder must be able to role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Trust.
