Job summary
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and adaptable clinician to join our friendly Community Dental Service team as a Band A salaried dentist. The service is part of Northumbria Healthcare Foundation Trust, providing a variety of specialised dental services across Northumberland and North Tyneside. There is a referral base of approximately 70 GP's.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities will include the provision of comprehensive high quality dental care for priority groups. In addition to routine treatment, it is expected that the post holder would provide dental treatment under general anaesthetic, inhalation sedation and complete domiciliary care. Training will be provided as required.

A degree in Dental Surgery and current registration with the General Dental Council is essential, along with a minimum of 12 months post qualification experience.
Applicants must be currently on the NHS dental performers list. This post is not suitable for clinical supervision due to the geographical spread of the dental clinics.
Staff are encouraged and supported to participate in post graduate activities and clinical audit; there are excellent opportunities for continuing professional development. The post holder will be expected to work at sites across the Trust, therefore it is essential that you have the ability to travel independently between clinical sites.

This is a Trust-wide appointment however a job plan will be agreed on appointment and a base clinic allocated
