Main duties of the job
The post will be professionally managed by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Occupational Health and there will be supervision and support available from the wider team. There will also be opportunities for peer networking and professional development with other therapists in the Clinical Health Psychology team at Northumbria Healthcare trust.Detailed job description and main responsibilitiesAs an applicant you should already have substantial post qualification experience of working as a psychologist in a mental health/primary care setting and previous experience in an Occupational Health setting would be an advantage. Alongside the clinical role there will be an expectation to provide training with a range of staff groups at different levels of the organisation. You will also be expected to manage/supervise clinical and non-clinical staff.
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate strong strategic leadership skills and be able to engage other team members in the strategic vision. In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate skills in project management with an emphasis on working at pace and showing the ability to work to agreed time scales.
